Newtownards:
Our church building (see top left of web page)
is located in the town of Newtownards, Co Down which is about 10 miles
east of Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Newtownards, at the head of the Strangford
Lough, was once a quiet market town but is now a busy
manufacturing and commercial centre. In recent years it has increased
in population to approx. 30,000, with many commuting daily to Belfast.
One of the dominant features of the area
around Newtownards is Scrabo Tower (left), built
in 1857 as a memorial to the 3rd Marquis of Londonderry, which affords
impressive views over the town and also the northern part of Strangford
Lough.
